Face Painting FAQ

How much does face painting cost?
Packages are priced by the hour (1, 2 or 3 hours). Current prices: 1 hour $100, 2 hours $150, 3 hours $250. See the packages page, or request a quote for big events.
How many kids can you paint in an hour?
It depends on the designs. Quick cheek art moves faster than full-face designs. Most of the time I can paint about 15 kids an hour. Tell me your guest count and I'll suggest the right package.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you know your date. Weekends, especially in fall and around holidays, tend to fill first. Last-minute? Text me and I'll check.
Is face paint safe for toddlers and sensitive skin?
I use TAG Face Paint, a professional paint made for skin. For sensitive skin I can do a small test spot or paint the arm or hand instead. I don't paint over cuts, rashes or irritated skin. Very young toddlers often do best with a small cheek design.
How long does face paint last, and how do I remove it?
Face paint usually lasts until it's washed off, though it can smudge with rubbing or sweat. Gentle soap and warm water take it right off. Baby wipes or a little coconut oil help with stubborn spots.
Can you paint at a pool party?
Yes! Water-based face paint will wash off in the pool, so it's best to paint after swimming, or plan arm and hand designs that kids can enjoy before they jump in.
What about outdoor heat?
Outdoor events are welcome. I just ask for a shady spot, like a canopy, porch or tree. On very hot days paint can soften with sweat, so shade keeps designs looking their best.
Do you charge a travel fee?
No travel fee within 45 miles of Morristown. Events more than 45 miles away are booked by quote only and have one flat $50 travel fee.
Do I pay when I book?
Yes. Payment is due in full when you book. If you cancel 72 hours or more before your event, you'll get a refund.
What payment methods do you take?
Card (through Square), cash, Venmo and Cash App.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. Churches and military families get 10% off.
